How do I sign-up for Business Matching Session?
To participate in the Business Matching Session, please complete the One-on-One Business Meeting Registration Form, which can be accessed through this page: https://events.kemlu.go.id/iebf/registration
How does the one-on-one business meeting process work?
Business Matching Session or “One-on-One Business Meetings” process consists of the following steps:
- Registration: To partake in this Session, you must register for One-on-One Business Meeting.
- Matching Process: The Committee will pair Indonesian and European companies based on the business objectives and preferences specified in the registration.
- Confirmation of Potential Match: Once a potential match has been found, the Committee will send an e-mail notifying you of a counterpart who has expressed in meeting with your company. You’ll be asked to confirm whether you’d like to accept the match or not.
- Meeting Schedule Announcement: Prior to the event, the Committee will release a meeting schedule document which will specify details such as: a) pairings of Indonesian and European companies, b) room assignments, c) scheduled meeting times, and d) the designated committee-in-charge for assisting with the meeting.
- Meeting Format: The meetings are tentatively scheduled for 20-minute slots per meeting.
Business Matching Session will span for two days (17-18 October 2023), with meeting on the first day running concurrently with Business Pitching sessions.
Is there a possibility there is no match found for my company?
Yes. In such a case, the Committee will notify you through e-mail. Please be assured that we are committed to pairing your company with a suitable match that aligns with your business objectives and preferences.
In the event that a match is not found within the framework of IEBF event, the Committee might explore the possibility of facilitating meetings between counterparts outside of the IEBF, upon the company’s request. Assistance in this regard may be carried out by units under the Directorate General of American and European Affairs Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Indonesian Embassy in your country (or accredited to your country).
If the allocated time slot is not suitable for my company, can I request a schedule change?
Schedule changes are possible upon request, subject to room and time slot availability. The schedule for One-on-One Business Matching Session is as follows:
- Day 1: Tuesday, 17 October 2023 at 15:00-17:00 WIB (GMT+7) or 10:00-12:00 CET (GMT+2)
- Day 2: Wednesday, 18 October 2023 at 09:00-17:00 WIB (GMT+7) or 04:00-12:00 CET (GMT+2), with coffee break and lunch recess in between.
Beyond these allocated times, the Committee is unable to arrange meeting rooms or provide assistance. However, you are welcome to make separate arrangements with your counterparts.
Are there any guidelines for preparing the Business Matching Session?
There is no specific guideline for the Session as it follows an open and interactive discussion format between business counterparts.
Should you plan to present or showcase any materials, it is advisable to have them ready in advance for sharing with your counterpart. If the materials come in the form of a soft copy file or website, please send them to the Committee in advance.
Note: During the registration process, the Committee has requested participants to upload their company's profile/portfolio file for convenience.
